The 8th SHIAC Talk took place in Shanghai on 14 June 2024 with the theme “The Evolving Landscape of International Arbitration”. Chan Leng Sun, SC delivered the keynote lecture on “Illegality in International Arbitration”. Thereafter, he was joined by Nathaniel Lai and other experts in a roundtable discussion on international arbitration. On 15 June 2024, Chan Leng Sun, SC and Nathaniel Lai participated in a training programme in Hangzhou that was jointly organised by SHIAC, the Zhejiang Lawyers’ Association and the Zhejiang Justice Bureau. Leng Sun delivered the opening lecture on Singapore’s model on International Commercial Arbitration while Nathaniel acted as a coach in the mock arbitration training.
