Jun Hong is developing a broad commercial practice. He has acted in disputes across various sectors, and has helped state-owned entities and large corporations obtain favourable outcomes in high-stakes cases. He has represented clients in ad hoc arbitrations and institutional arbitrations under the rules of the SIAC, HKIAC, CIETAC, PCA, and others. He is also familiar with a considerable range of arbitration-related litigation.

Jun Hong previously worked at leading international arbitration practices in London and Singapore. Before private practice, he served as a Justices’ Law Clerk in the Supreme Court of Singapore. Jun Hong has also taught Land Law (Part A Bar Course) and Business Law (at Singapore Management University).

Jun Hong is qualified to practice in Singapore and New York. He is a native speaker of Mandarin.

  • Represented a state-owned oil and gas company in defending an application to set aside an arbitral award
  • Represented a state-owned oil and gas company in an ICC arbitration concerning claims arising under a production sharing contract, with over $300 million in dispute
  • Represented a state-owned oil and gas company in ICC and UNCITRAL arbitrations concerning claims arising under multiple production sharing contracts and bilateral investment treaties, with over $2.5 billion in dispute.
  • Represented a large technology company in connection with related NAI and CIETAC arbitrations in relation to claims arising under an investment agreement and technology licensing agreement
  • Represented an electric services company in a SIAC arbitration involving the installation of a tunnel ventilation system
  • Represented a global sports and entertainment media company in a SIAC arbitration involving the licensing of media rights
